Single EV and biomolecules analysis
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are continually released from cancer cells into biofluids, carrying actionable molecular fingerprints of the underlying disease with considerable diagnostic and therapeutic potential. Only 2–3% of blood-circulating EVs are believed to carry specific-disease signatures. Thus, there is great interest in developing technologies with single EV resolution for early detection. We are developing nano-fluidic coupled membrane devices for the confinement of Evs and further molecular analysis and profiling with Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)
